Israel Declares State of Emergency Following Strikes on Iran; Dozens of Nuclear, Military Targets Hit
On Friday, June 13, 2025, Israel confirmed it had launched strikes on Iran, prompting Tehran’s air defences to go on high alert. Iranian state media reported explosions in Tehran, as regional tensions escalated amid ongoing U.S. diplomatic efforts to persuade Iran to halt the production of nuclear materials.
An Israeli military source stated that the operation targeted “dozens” of nuclear and military facilities. The official further warned that Iran possesses enough enriched material to construct up to 15 nuclear bombs within days. As a precaution, Israel has declared a nationwide state of emergency in anticipation of possible missile and drone retaliation from Iran.
