Jonathan Amaral: India’s Leading Esports Star in BGMI and PUBG Mobile
Jonathan Amaral, popularly known as Jonathan Gaming, is a renowned Indian professional esports player, highly regarded for his exceptional skills in Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) and PUBG Mobile (PUBGM). Born on September 21, 2002, he has established himself as one of the most skilled and respected players in the Indian gaming community.
At the 2022 Esports Awards, Jonathan secured second place in the Esports Mobile Player of the Ye
ar category, further solidifying his status as a top esports athlete. His influence in the gaming industry grew even stronger in 2023 when FanClash, an esports fantasy platform, appointed him as their brand ambassador. Later, in a livestream on November 16, 2023, Jonathan officially announced his association with Red Bull as an official Red Bull Player, marking another milestone in his career.
Esports Career and Achievements
Jonathan began his professional esports career with Entity Gaming, which later merged to form TSM Entity. Currently, he is a key member of GodLike Esports. He was selected to represent India at the 2021 PUBG Mobile Global Championship despite finishing fourth at the BGIS 2021 tournament, where his team secured 13th place globally.
One of his most remarkable achievements came during the 2020 PMIS Semifinals, where he recorded 16 kills in a single match, setting the record for the highest individual kill count in a tournament. His strategic gameplay and exceptional reflexes have earned him recognition across the Indian and global esports community.
Jonathan's Stand Against Cheating in Esports
Jonathan has been a strong advocate for fair play in esports. Alongside other Indian streamers and content creators, he appealed to BGMI developers to take strict action against cheaters in the game, reinforcing his commitment to maintaining a competitive and ethical gaming environment.
A Role Model in Indian Esports
Despite receiving an offer from 7Sea Esports, Jonathan declined due to coordination difficulties, choosing to stay dedicated to his current team. Following the ban of BGMI by the Government of India, Jonathan continued to be one of India’s top esports players, admired for his kindness, humility, and professionalism. Known for staying away from controversies, his focus and gaming prowess have made him a fan favorite and an inspiration for aspiring gamers in India.
