Oppo introduced VOOC (Voltage Open Loop Multi-step Constant-Current Charging) in 2014, a fast charging technology for its smartphones. VOOC has evolved over the years with several versions:
- VOOC 2.0 (2015): Maintains the same 5V/4A as the original version.
- SuperVOOC (2016): An upgraded version of VOOC 2.0 with 10V/5A (50W) charging, using "low voltage pulse" technology.
- VOOC 3.0 (2019): 5V/6A, marketed as Warp Charge 30, promising a 23.8% faster charging rate compared to VOOC 2.0.
- VOOC 4.0 (2019): Delivers 5V/6A (30W), capable of charging a device up to 67% in 30 minutes.
- SuperVOOC 2.0 (2020): 10V/6.5A, also known as Warp Charge 65.
- SuperVOOC 2.0 (2022): 11V/6-7.3A, marketed as Warp Charge 80, SuperDART, and Super Flash Charge.
- 240W SuperVOOC (2022): A groundbreaking 20V/12A version announced at Mobile World Congress, able to charge a 4,500mAh battery in just 9 minutes. It is used in the Realme GT Neo5, requiring a proprietary charger and USB-C cable to achieve the full charging rate.
