nping. In a recent interview, the Republican leader expressed confidence in his ability to secure a trade deal with China. 

In an interview with Fox News, President Donald Trump described his recent conversation with Chinese President Xi Jinping as "good" and "friendly." Discussing the possibility of a fair trade deal, Trump expressed confidence, stating that he could achieve it with Xi, whom he called “ambitious.”

Trump also shared details of the call on his social media platform, Truth Social, mentioning that they covered a wide range of topics, including trade balance, fentanyl, and TikTok. "President Xi and I will do everything possible to make the world more peaceful and safe!" he wrote in his post.

The phone call took place last Friday, just days before Donald Trump assumed office as the 47th President of the United States. During the conversation, President Xi expressed hope for a "good start" to relations with Trump, who responded by stating, "It is my expectation that we will solve many problems together."

Donald Trump's tarriff threat to China:-

Since assuming office, President Donald Trump has raised the possibility of imposing a 10% punitive tariff on Chinese imports, citing concerns over fentanyl being smuggled from China into the U.S. through Mexico and Canada. However, he has not yet enacted the tariffs he had promised during his campaign. Additionally, Trump has threatened to impose tariffs on the European Union, Mexico, and Canada.

The U.S. and China continue to face a range of diplomatic and economic challenges, including escalating technological and military rivalries, as well as contentious trade issues. Washington has expressed concerns over the ownership of the popular social media app TikTok, which is owned by the Chinese company ByteDance. Although the U.S. Supreme Court upheld a law that banned TikTok, President Trump issued an executive order delaying the ban and directing TikTok to sell its U.S. operations.
